Intimate Partner Sexual Violence (IPSV) Support Group
Join us for an 8-week psychoeducational support group designed for adult survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, or sexual coercion from an intimate partner. This group offers a safe, confidential space to learn, heal, and rebuild.
Each session includes learning, skill-building, guided discussion, and activities to support empowerment and recovery.

This group is open to survivors of IPSV seeking connection, understanding, and tools for healing. You are not alone. We’re here to support you.
Weekly Topics:
Session 1: Who are we and what are we doing here?
· Develop ground rules and expectations
· Set goals and intentions
· Discuss what the healing journey and what IPSV is
· Explore personal strengths and wants for self
Session 2: Why do we need to name the problem?
· Identify abusive behavior
· Discuss why it is important to name IPSV
Session 3: Why is IPSV so confusing?
· Normalize reactions to abuse
· Identify societal messaging
Session 4: What are our healing strengths?
· Coping strategies to heal
· Explore strengths, resources, and self-care
Session 5: How does IPSV affect your relationships?
· Discuss impact of IPSV on your relationships with others and yourself
Session 6: Who am I now, and how can I feel good?
· Identify elements of healthy sexual relationships and healthy coping behaviors
Session 7: What kind of power can I have in my life?
· Identify the power and control elements in IPSV relationships
· Discuss ways to build personal power
Session 8: How can I change my future
· Discuss ways we change
· Say goodbye to meeting with each other
How to Join
To participate, please RSVP to the group in advance. After you RSVP, you’ll be asked to schedule a brief pre-group meeting with our support group facilitators. This meeting helps ensure the group is the right fit for your needs and provides an opportunity to ask questions, discuss expectations, and learn more about the group.
